Legal Basis for Processing: ClearIngredient processes personal data on the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the app), legal obligation (to comply with applicable law), and consent (for optional features such as the newsletter).
Data Transfers: ClearIngredient is operated from the United States. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We ensure such transfers comply with GDPR through appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Categories of Personal Information Collected: In the preceding 12 months, ClearIngredient has collected: identifiers (name, email), internet or electronic network activity (app usage data), and commercial information (subscription records). We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, or sensitive personal information beyond account credentials.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: ClearIngredient does not sell or share personal information as defined by CCPA. We do not provide a "Do Not Sell" opt-out because we do not engage in those practices.
Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make CCPA requests on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly before processing.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where:
ClearIngredient does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States (COPPA) or under 16 in the EU (GDPR-K) without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it immediately.
